NOTES FROM A WORKING WORKSHOPHARDWARE / SOFTWARE / EVERYTHING BETWEEN

Golf GTD, rebuilt

An engine rebuild, a long list of upgrades, and a determination to understand the car beneath the dashboard.

## More than a parts list
The Golf is one of those projects that keeps teaching me something. A complete engine rebuild brought a new block and cylinder head, fresh rings and bearings, timing components, cooling-system work, and a reconditioned turbo.

The useful story is how those pieces fit together: assembly, checks, running-in, and the faults that do or don't disappear when the engine changes.

## Next chapters
There is still diagnostic work to record, alongside a separate interest in the car's electronics and CAN network. The aim here is clear, evidence-based notes rather than guesses presented as fixes.

## A note on technical detail
Any measurements, torque values, coding changes, or procedures published in future entries will need their own source and context. This overview is a project introduction, not a repair procedure.
