The Family Portal
A private home for family files and everyday admin, built around making complicated things feel straightforward.
## Software for people who live with you
The Family Portal is a practical web project: somewhere to put files, notices, and useful tools without making everyone learn a complicated system.
Separate accounts, clear permissions, and an admin area matter. So do the smaller things: a logo that takes you home, sensible upload tools, and forms that work with password managers.
## The continuing work
The next challenge is consistency. Every screen should feel like part of the same site, and every important action should explain what happened. This log will cover the design decisions and technical lessons without exposing family data.
Private systems can still produce useful public lessons.
